For many novices to the world of machine vision, the development of
automated vision solutions may
seem like a relatively easy task as it "only" requires a computer to
understand basic elements
such as shape, colour and texture. Of course this is not the case.
The aim of this talk is to highlight some of the key design issues
behind the development of machine vision systems. Dr. Paul F. Whelan
